Sara Hass Kelly

When I got out of high school, I moved to Durango, Colorado and then to Denver, Colorado, and later to Houston. I got divorced when my son was three years old and have raised him on my own ever since I think I’ve done a terrific job. He is now a Houston Fire Fighter. There have been some very tough years in my life, but also I am a very strong and independent person. Being a single mom, does that for you!!

I’ve had multiple careers, including working in the medical industry, commercial real estate, TDCJ and the medical department in Dalhart , Texas, and a prison unit, at most recently, I work for H-E-B the largest privately owned retailer in Texas. I’ve been there for 24 years in June and love my job

to be honest the high school was a bit of a blur for me, I mostly hung out with the class of 1974 and my brothers friends. Bad I know we did have a lot of fun dragging Main Street and enjoying the small town life. And the embarrassment of having your father being the city manager when you got caught riding in somebody else’s car when you weren’t supposed to. it was embarrassing at the time and very heartwarming when I looked back. my dad sure loved all of us and all of our friends.
